Guests or gate crashers?

Rather than reward law breakers who came to the US illegally, we should be enforcing the laws we have and sending them back where they came from.  I do not understand this need we have to pander to illegals.  We have rules and laws and if you can't bother to follow them then you do not get to be here.

Quite simple.

There is this call by Bush to create new immigration laws because the ones we have do not work.

My question.  When have we tried to enforce them?  I live in Texas and I can assure you, we do not.  Let's try that first before we had out the free passes.

Another issue I haven't heard anyone discuss is how they take housing away from Americans. I lived in Silicon Valley a few years back and paid $900/month for an older studio apartment. My next door neighbors had 12 people in their studio apartment, none of whom spoke any English. On my way to work in the mornings, I'd see several of them standing out by the 7-11 to advertise themselves as day laborers.

Their apt was only meant for 1-2 people. As a result, they used so much hot water that there never was enough hot water for the rest of us. They accumulated so much trash our dumpster was always overflowing so I'd either have to keep my trash inside my apartment til dumpster emptying day or leave it next to the dumpster to risk being ripped open by animals. Our shared washers/dryers were always breaking down or constantly in use by them so no one else got a turn. Their belongings (children, toys, chairs, trash, etc.) were always out in the common area (b/c you can't really jam 12 people into a tiny apartment and expect them stay inside). Plus, the amount of noise they generated was infuriating. I was livid that I was paying that much money to live next to squalor. I'd complain to my landlord who did nothing about it. And I wasn't in a position to get him angry. If I got kicked out, I wasn't making enough money to easily move somewhere else.

But that's why there are so many Mexican illegals living in California, despite it being one of the most expensive states to live in. They're willing to live in 3rd World conditions. And because of these illegal aliens, an employed American had a harder time finding an affordable apartment in the area.
