Samuel Alito Jr. -- Thank Out Lucky Stars!!

Samuel Alito Jr.

This is the guy I was secretly hoping for, but I did not dare hope he would get the nod from the President.  If you want a good conservative that will uphold the law, not create it, you have got the right guy.

The link above is to his bio.  Good stuff there.

I will be posting more later . . . For now I am a very happy girl!

If you can't get them on what you are investigating, get them on ANYTHING!

Lewis "Scooter' Libby Jr. was indicted today on charges that have nothing to do with the investigation of the CIA leak of a non-covert agent.

This Columbia University law school graduate was indicted on charges of obstruction of justice, making false statements and perjury.  Not, I want to add again, for leaking the identity of a NON-COVERT CIA AGENT.

An attorney would be the first person to know what perjury was.  He knows what false statements are.  He is a respected attorney who has never been in trouble, and now all of the sudden he is Captain Liar??

The Democrats are going to try and prove that Libby was part of a greater conspiracy that included the President to cover up their lack of evidence regarding the reasons for going into Iraq.  They hope Bush will be the next Nixon, that they can tear him apart one advisor at a time.

This is also part of the 2005-2006 Democrat Play Book under the heading, "How to Make Republicans Look Bad, Regardless of the Truth".

If you are buying this load of indictment, I have some property I would like to sell you ...

Fight, fight, fight and then fight some more!!

GOP AT ODDS OVER WHETHER TO FIGHT OR BACK AWAY

If there was ever a time to fight, this would be that time.  The Democrats have set the dogs on Conservatives.  Tome DeLay, Bill Frist, Karl Rove ... and others are in the center of a plan by the democrats to tarnish the records of conservatives across the nation.

Are any of us really shocked?  No, I do not think so.  But to suggest that we do not fight back?  Simply put, it is wrong.  When you are attacked, and there is a pattern and it was planned, you fight.

Tom DeLay is a good example of a Conservative that is not taking it on the chin.

Democrat Ronnie Earle (from the People's Republic of Austin) has been at his smear campaign for YEARS.  His attempts have not been successful and I suspect his indictment against Tom DeLay will fail like the one against Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchison, who was indicted three times by this guy.  The DeLay indictment starts in a position of failure.

In a written statement Tuesday, Travis County District Attorney Ronnie Earle acknowledged that prosecutors presented their case to three grand juries — not just the two they had discussed — and one grand jury refused to indict DeLay.

Yes, that was three.  THREE.

DeLay has come out swinging, and that is the example I think we should follow.  Fight fight fight at every turn.  Do not let them thing for one second that you have given up!  Karl Rove needs to fight, Bill Frist needs to fight.  Do not let the Democrats think they can use trumped up charges and the Media to cloud the message of the Conservative movement.

Meyers withdraws as Supreme Court nominee ...

I have had nothing to say lately ... but this is BIG and I am VERY happy she did the right thing!

http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,173665,00.html

She is, I am sure, a nice person and a good conservative, but I am not sure she was ever the right person for the Supreme Court. There was a feeling that she was too much of an unknown, and that is a BAD thing.

I now look to the next nominee ... I am hoping for Luttig or Brown, and I will not be happy with any less than a in your face conservative with a strong record.

Miers is not what I expected.

Bush has nominated Harriet Miers.

There is a lot of teeth gnashing and nail biting by conservatives today. They feel let down and angry. Bush made it clear he would nominate people for the Supreme Court that would uphold the law. I do not know anything about Miers outside of what I have read today, and let me say I am not impressed. Some people trust the President and his choice. I am not one of them.

The President took the easy way . . . he WIMPED out!

I truly hope Bush has picked a person who will surprise us all and be a strong conservative that the Supreme Court needs. I am afraid she will not be. Her record, what I have read of it and rest assured I am still researching, does not impress me.

This was a safe pick, and the wrong one.
